This wee cafe is a lovely addition to the alpaca farm. Claire and Martin have really taken time and care to make this place feel so homely, with a great new big bus to sit in and enjoy our coffees- and made it easily identifiable from the road. Great stop on the way up the island

Such a lovely place to bring your kids! William was so kind and friendly, he gave us a tour and introduced us to all the farm animals for free!

What a great find. We arrived lunchtime and had two delicious homemade tomato soups with a warm nan bread and one steak bake. This was followed by a nice coffee and great cinnamon buns. The place has a lovely welcoming atmosphere which is in part due to the fabulous staff. Great bit of banter too. The converted bus is a great idea for overflow form the cafe though we didn’t have to use it, not to mention of course the huge variety of animals on site which you can get very close to, including of course (the clue being in the cafe’s name) the Alpacas. I have no hesitation in recommending this great place.

Absolutely loved our visit to Callanish Alpacas and their wonderful cafe. I had the carrot cake and it was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed our food on the top deck of the bus whilst watching the alpacas. Truly an unmatched experience. This place is also open on a Sunday which was really handy, although not dog friendly which is understandable as there are lots of other animals around.

We went into this wee coffee shop after touring the farm. It was lovely. The woman taking care of it is very friendly and it feels less like a coffee shop and more like visiting your favourite neighbour. The coffee is a machine coffee but really nice with a good portion. It is obviously not artisan coffee, but we’d like to give it 5 stars after all, as the whole experience was simply wonderful and we appreciate it for what it is. They also offer biscuits and cakes which looked delicious. You can pick up as many eggs as you’d like and since they had a massive surplus when we came, we got some for free. The decor is really cute and we enjoyed our time at the coffee shop. If you want, you can also sit in an old green bus with views of the Alpaca field.

Home-made dishes including soups, sandwiches and a marvelous Cornish pasty. Cakes, hot and cold drinks. Have your meal or coffee inside a bus, viewing alpacas, sheeps and pigs.
